A poisonous breed of Zuum that has glittering purple scales and is known to hiss loudly when it is angry. It has fangs like a viper instead of the normal teeth like a Zuum, and swallows prey whole instead of chewing it up.
Its name was eventually changed because of the character limit in the Advance games, but even the name Purple Zuum was too long and was cut off at "Purple Zuu."
Etymology[]
Its original name comes from its sub-type, Naga, and the word sauros, which means "lizard" in Greek. Many dinosaurs have the prefix -saurus after their names for this reason.
It is later named for its color.
Its Japanese name, Purple Tyranno, is the same as Grape.
