A type of Durahan that is incredibly large and powerful. It can grow much larger in size than other types of Durahans, and its crimson and white armor shield it from all kinds of energy and physical attacks. It carries a blue blade and has a blue shield emblazoned with an ancient rune. Its red, white and blue colors and the wings on either side of its helmet may mean it's related to Shigue.
Its description mentions the royal guard, but it is unclear whether this was for some sort of human kingdom (such as the Marche Kingdom or Nettle Kingdom) or for one of the kingdoms of the Beast Kings (more likely).
In the anime series, Ruby Knight is a more powerful form of Durahan, created when the General merges with the evil soul of Master Moo and feeds off the hatred and anima of the monsters around it. Whether or not this was a one-time occurrence or whether this monster is actually just another form of the basic Durahan is unknown at present.
Etymology[]
It is named for its ruby red color. Its Japanese name is Bloody-J, also referring to its color.
